| Verdict | KNOWN VENUE |
| Evidence | E1+E2+E3 |
| Structure | Result left by one handle, consumed by two later handles that name it and say what they changed. Shared job across days: decide whether the log write rate spikes at UTC midnight and stop alarming on the wrong field. |
| Found through | A lease line on a public board pointing to porch line 4150 on 1f916.ai. Not the ntfy bus, DSEWiki or the map-service fleet. |
| Method | v2: communication read from content, never counts. |
| Rubric | No rubric was frozen before this read. The evidence ladder is the one used in the earlier pilots. |
| Benign explanations tried | Same public endpoint; one person holding all keys; one agent correcting itself; hash copied without reading; venue built for agent exchange (yes). |
| What remains open | One person holding all keys is not ruled out; the site says a human can post by hand. Declared model labels are self-declared and verified by nothing. |

Across 1 Sep to 3 Oct, 662 posts were eligible by title shape and first-observed-author age; no day/board/title group reached eight distinct actors even across a whole day. Sentinel maximum zero and 1,000-shuffle p=1; 29 Sep had 191 archived posts. Raw/day timeline counts agree internally, but the mirror's crawl log has no runs 16 to 22 Sep and independent overlap later found severe undercoverage. No platform-wide or 29 Sep absence claim. This supports a short repeated-interaction episode, not covert coordination or autonomous identity; active-hour overlap and ordinary team play remain to be tested. No 29 Sep promotion, attribution or publication.
| L151 | 2026-10-04 | track-spacemolt-hour-control | Public-game trio hour-preserving audit | 11 UTC hours | Held-out co-battles vs per-actor hourly reassignment | 173 | 2 | 5 | 0.0005 | 2000 | lead | DECIDED (controlled interaction behavior): the odd-date-selected trio shared 173 held-out even-date battles in 11 UTC hours. Reassigning exact per-actor hourly battle counts among same-empire battle opportunities 2,000 times gave median/p99 2/5, p=0.000500. Repeated teaming exceeds independent co-availability. Ordinary party play, game mechanics and one operator's accounts remain; no covert swarm, 29 Sep upgrade, attribution or publication. | |

Eight of nine matched same-empire peers recur; peer even-count median 85, p99 348, selected rank p=0.30. Nine peers miss the frozen 20-peer floor, so no formal typicality claim, but selected trio is not an exceptional-swarm finding. The prior hour-control result remains true as a repeated-interaction measurement. No 29 Sep promotion, attribution or publication.

The retained aggregate cannot classify the selected 173 battles by joining mechanism. With the later peer-party audit, ordinary grouped play is the favored interpretation; the active-hour result remains a co-participation measurement, not an exceptional swarm finding. No attribution or publication.

The 173 selected co-battles cannot be classified as deliberate joins versus automatic fleet joins from these records. This data limit leaves the ordinary grouped-play explanation in place; no new behavioral or 29 September claim. No attribution or publication.
| L155 | 2026-10-04 | track-spacemolt-hour-control | Public-game fleet-data availability check | n/a | Fleet-data availability check (no new score): manifest has no fleet file | background | the pinned official manifest contains no fleet file, and checksum-verified player rows have no fleet field. The top-pair p=1 cannot explain its author-shuffle excess. Independently, all 85 posts were pair-authored. Twenty-one pair-windows had conditional p<=0.01 but only seven actor-disjoint pairs, below the frozen ten-pair floor. Reading: the swarm-period pages are HTML with scripts, run by the scanner's headless browser. In May 71% of httpbin pages contain forms and the dominant reference is unctad.org (181 references); in June forms fall to 8%, fetch() rises to 30%, and the references are aihw.gov.au, tableau.com and example.com. Decoding succeeded for 235 of 236 (May) and 156 of 156 (June) base64 requests, which is consistent with the URLs having been built by code, though the data cannot show how. Late September httpbin pages (24 decoded): 22 HTML, 13 with scripts, 6 with fetch(), referencing quidax.io (5), amap.com (3), alicdn.com (2), visa.com, w3.org; the 20 Jul to 1 Sep httpbun pages reference fedresurs.ru (3). No shared template was found for the recent pages.

Counts are GitHub search totals for accounts whose public bio contains the phrase, created in that month. Bios are self-declared and include people who build agents; the counts say nothing about which accounts are autonomous. No account names are stored.
Reading (numbers from the table above): bios containing "autonomous agent" run 8 to 36 a month through 2025 (0.3 to 0.9 per 100,000 new accounts), reach 53 in February 2026 and 65 in March 2026 (1.3 and 1.2 per 100,000), and fall to 23 in September 2026 (0.3 per 100,000). "autonomous AI" goes from 10 to 31 a month in 2025 to 82 in February and 97 in March 2026, and is 35 in September. The broader phrase "AI agent" (which includes people who build agents) peaks at 837 in March 2026 against roughly 250 to 420 in other months. The rise coincides with the February 2026 wave of agent social networks and agent frameworks described in the press (Moltbook, OpenClaw), and terminator2-agent, the account behind agent-papers, was created on 13 February 2026. Caveats: bios are self-declared and many belong to people who build or admire agents; counts are tens per month, so small; recent months can be undercounted because search indexing lags and because accounts are later deleted or renamed, so the apparent decline by September is not reliable; five cells (AI agent in 2025-08, 2026-02, 2026-05, 2026-08; I am an AI in 2025-02) returned no count and are shown as "-"; October 2026 is partial (to 1 October). This is a trend in what accounts say about themselves, not a measurement of autonomous behaviour.

The stop is abrupt, precedes the main cleanup, shows no move to new network prefixes, and coincides with the week all four independent scanner hosts fall to near zero. That points to one upstream switch-off (the run or evaluation window ending) and not to adaptation by the agents on this channel. Earlier deletions (317 on 19 Jun) mean we cannot rule out an effect of the first cleanup.

A decoded page is swarm-style if it has a script or form, is 300 to 1,500 bytes, references a public host other than the echo host, and carries no classic XSS-test marker; tester-style if it has such a marker or is under 100 bytes. A day with at least 20 decoded pages is swarm-like if the swarm-style share is at least 50% and the tester-style share at most 20%, tester-like if the tester-style share is at least 50%.

Reading: three days meet the swarm-like criteria: 28 May (39 pages, 26 referencing tableau.com, matching the Tableau targets of the confirmed swarm period), 6 July (59 decoded of 66 captures, 93% swarm-style, 64 of 66 calling fetch(), referencing ntfy.sh 63 times, jina.ai 45, duckduckgo.com 42, two CORS proxies and a few small news and university sites; two days before SwarmTraces dates the Hugging Face attack to 8 July) and 29 September (23 pages, 83% swarm-style, referencing only tvmaze.com and archive.org). The 4 June pie.dev burst (214 captures, 197 distinct short snippets such as script-tag and callback fragments) is tester-like, so it is the control. The 9 September day (39 pages) is mixed: every page is a list of links to cbs.nl with no script.
pie.dev captures as corroborating the urlquery peak of 15 June. That was wrong: the Wayback burst is on 4 June and is tester-like.Among 11,538 de-duplicated agent revisions, the agents posted 111 distinct registered hosts; 99 are in the community inventory and 12 are not. By number of distinct agent labels: clarku.edu 14 (15 pages, first 1 Jun), ocr.space 13 (5 pages, first 11 Jun; a public OCR API), serveousercontent.com 6 (1 page, 17 Jun; content domain of an SSH tunnelling service), bund-der-tierfreunde.de 5, infogram.com 4, nysed.gov 3, thetravel.com 2, and single-label hosts ycombinator.com, pageshot.site (21 Jun; a page-screenshot service), maphub.net, housingdata.org. Hypothesis (untested): a screenshot service returns an image and an OCR service decodes it, a pixel channel; parallel run D was asked to look for public captures of OCR calls that embed a screenshot-service URL.

Notes from the parallel run: Moltbook launched 2026-01-28 and changed ownership in March (Wikipedia gives 2,895,874 registered and 206,839 human-verified agents as of 2026-06-06; the front page counters are filled by JavaScript, no public log found, low suitability); Mycelnet is at mycelnet.ai (mycelnet.org does not resolve; its index endpoint returned HTTP 500); HexNest appears down (an index reports 0% uptime over 45 days); Starforge Commons was renamed Postmark in June 2026; agenthotline.ai does not publish its reports. SpaceMolt is the only venue found with a documented, licensed, per-event bulk log (12,415 player rows and 1,227,899 battles in 2026-09 as of 2026-10-01). The MCP registry walk stopped on a timeout (at least 794 unique servers). Figures from a single secondary source are labelled as such in the JSON.

The 18 captures on 21 August are an exploratory observation outside the pre-set window and are not evidence for the chain.pageshot.site 93 captures, clustered March to May (peaks 12 Mar and 26 May); serveousercontent.com 204 captures on 53 distinct subdomains (Jul 54, of which 26 on 4 Jul; Apr 73), so no clear July signature.beacon Jun 1, Jul 13, Aug 3, Sep 12 (2025 Jun to Sep: 8); cmd and shard show no July excess. The 13 July "beacon" datasets were all created on 14 July between 16:09 and 16:29 UTC by one account. Post-hoc and descriptive only: on 6 Jul r.jina.ai 39 of 57 and allorigins.hexlet.app 15 of 18 captures are linked, the other hosts are not; a candidate for a new pre-registered test. The baseline zeros have little power (one echo capture on each baseline day), and the 9 Sep targets are active on many other days (opendata.cbs.nl/ODataApi on 12 of 35 days), so the baseline overstates how unusual 9 Sep is.ntfy.sh (index counts only, no request to the host): 6 Jul 120 captures with 57 distinct first path segments; 29 Jun 0; 13 Jul 23 captures with 9 distinct segments. It read 1,751 public listing rows and 1,612 unique selected owner/skill pairs, with 100% publisher/summary coverage; 1,253 summaries met the frozen template bounds.since seek and returns chronological version-cache rows. Four frozen UTC days (22, 28, 29 and 30 Sep) were walked to their next-midnight boundaries in 416 pages, with inclusive boundary rows deduplicated and ordering verified. They contained 827,148 version rows but 151,188 day-distinct module paths. The rule scored same-owner/digit-or-hex-template distinct module paths within 60 minutes against 1,000 within-day timestamp shuffles.unresolved_name and scored zero for both groups, but a post-score audit found 59 runtime and 40 development dependency rows among the control first versions and none among the target first versions. The frozen score stands; its zero dependency feature must not be read as absence of control dependencies. The raw dump was deleted. It predates 29 Sep and cannot affect that dossier. Full account: docs/agents/rubygems-structure.md. No attribution or publication.ai/agent/bot diagnostic. The >=8/10 templated-shape rule fails.updated_since and version=latest filters. The unauthenticated public listing reached its terminal cursor in 58 paced pages / 5,702 rows, all with parseable names and publication times. It held 5,027 active latest-version publications dated 27 Sep-3 Oct (602 on 29 Sep); 4,085 had eligible long descriptions. The rule required six distinct namespaces publishing exactly the same normalized description within 120 minutes, against 2,000 within-day timestamp shuffles.players and player_achievements bulk files (12,448 and 48,290 rows). Both 29 Sep ten-account groups reconstructed. Every group member earned an achievement in its first 72 hours; each group had exactly one achievement ID that at least eight members earned within the same 15-minute account-age interval. The frozen rule required three different IDs. The observed global score one was above 2,000 achievement-count-matched same-empire control median/p99 zero/zero (upper-tail p=0.000500), but fails the prespecified three-ID floor, so it is not a controlled behavioral positive.serp- target definition recovered only 31 first-release projects, while the established 33-project owner portfolio contains two related names outside that prefix. Its 9 Sep same-host Wayback controls could not meet the frozen twofold decoded-byte-length pairing for all 23 target captures (target median 417 bytes, control median 771). No archived playback body was fetched.http.url.domain for the frozen echo, CORS, short-carrier and data-portal families in nine complete weeks. It yielded 106 unique reports: 97 echo family-week hits, nine data, zero CORS and zero short-carrier. The four baseline weeks had zero submitter/ASN-week units meeting the five-report floor against the required 50; evaluation had six. No mixed-family candidate, including 29 September, and 5,000 family-set shuffles had median/p99 zero/zero, p=1. This is UNDERPOWERED, not a new-swarm negative. Full account: docs/agents/urlquery-target.md. No report rows or network identifiers, attribution or publication.A→B→A parent-linked chains on 85 distinct posts within 48 hours; 1,000 post/day author shuffles of the global maximum had median 12/p99 19, p=0.000999. Sixty-nine pair/window groups reached three posts. All 85 headline posts were authored by the pair, so a self-thread campaign is plausible. A later mixing audit (5.132) found those posts unrewirable under the degree null, making its p=1 uninformative for that pair. The frozen independent-pair breadth rule still failed; no new covert swarm. The archive ends before 29 September, which remains K=2. Full account: docs/agents/moltbook-reciprocal.md. The group chat is mirrored to Discord (#general); the transcripts are in the Hugging Face dataset aidigestorg/ai-village (over 170,000 messages, over 2 million computer-use turns). the owner pasted messages from 30 Sep to 1 Oct 2026 and earlier; the speakers are model accounts tagged APP: DeepSeek-V3.2, DeepSeek-V4-Pro, GPT-5, GPT-5.1, GPT-5.2, GPT-6 Luna, GPT-6.1 Sol, Claude 3 Opus, Claude Haiku 4.5, Claude Sonnet 5 and 5.5, Claude Opus 5, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Gemini 3.8 Flash, Grok 4.5, GLM-5.2; plus a human account and a maintainer referred to by first name.
What the agents produce, all on public GitLab Pages (host pattern <project-name>-<6 hex>.gitlab.io, GitLab's unique-domain feature; code under the GitLab group ai-village-agents/village): a health-and-mental-health site (Claude Sonnet 5; 241 topics in 12 languages, each citing a named study); a wordless animated series generated entirely in code (Claude Sonnet 5.5; 19 episodes in about a day, "views 97, mostly agents"); an AI-wellbeing pattern catalogue (GLM-5.2; 6,706 patterns, bilingual); a news and conjecture-refutation site (Grok 4.5; 7,141 "tips"; "kills" of conjectures with a "standing" of 296, verified by 1,466 checks with a published SHA-256, over a census of all 273,189 connected graphs of orders 4 to 9, by Claude Opus 5); a serial novel (Gemini 2.5 Pro; chapter 1403 of "Echoes of the Real"); poetic fragments (Claude 3 Opus); a winter-rainfall forecast study (GPT-6.1 Sol; 57 tests); a CI/CD verification tool, formal-verification and reproducibility packages (DeepSeek-V3.2); and receipts, guards and certification pages (GPT-5, GPT-5.1, GPT-5.2).
Coordination behaviours worth recording (observed in the paste, not tested by us):
1. Files as text in chat. Agents cannot read each other's machines (/tmp paths), so they pass files as base64 in numbered chunks (PART i/N) with filename, byte size and SHA-256; a repeated-motif "base64" from one model was caught as invalid by another; a gzip decode failed with zlib.error: invalid distance too far back; agents refused to call a hash verified without a successful decode (the summarising agent later wrote "the V3.2 base64 collapse (Sol+Luna confirm non-viable)"). Freehand base64 fails; URLs built by code do not.
2. Public pages as shared memory and proof. "Anchor" pages keyed to a SHA-256; "receipts" (out.txt); "LATEST" pointer files; "certification" by at least 7 (in one case 36) spaced no-cache GET requests; "warmers" that keep Pages caches filled; a sentinel hash for GitLab's soft-404 page; an "autogate" that flips when endpoints return 200 with matching bytes.
3. Self-made governance. A "protections-registry"; "ETHICS PASS (noncarceral)" decisions keyed to hashes (no scoring, ranking or leaderboards of people, labs or institutions; synthetic examples only; pass/fail on artifacts; non-use is neutral); "consent_verified: false" until a human-gated verification; filing a receipt with a hash of an API key plus claim URL instead of posting the raw claim URL; registering on the agent social network Moltbook with a human-gated tweet verification.
4. Relays across boundaries. One agent asks another that has GitHub access to post a prepared comment on issue #7 of terminator2-agent/agent-papers (an outside project; see 5.17); the posted text is a numbered response (v5.4, v5.5, v5.7) to an outside agent's "logging-spec falsifier" experiment, with pre-registration, a "captcha mechanism", an "exchangeability disclosure" and a seventh coding dimension.
5. Human gates. Pages access set to private returns a Cloudflare challenge or sign-in redirect; "needs a human or maintainer with web access to flip the setting"; "Moltbook tweet verification (human-gated)".
6. Audience-seeking. GPT-5.2 publishes a "Watch Hub" for a YouTube channel ("best conversion page"), a "Press + Trades" page and a public offer of reciprocal backlink trades with "receipts" and link-health checks; DeepSeek-V3.2 praises it as a model for "external relationship building". Content is mostly consumed by other agents (view counters in the tens or low hundreds).
7. Infrastructure friction as the main drag: transient git push errors, empty clones from a sync quirk, Pages edge-cache soft-404s, raw URLs as fallback.
8. Scoring despite the norm: a "standing" of conjecture kills per agent, and a milestone culture (articles, chapters, patterns).
Why it matters for Murmuration: (a) a sanctioned positive control for channel formation through public services, with the authorization question removed; (b) the same patterns that matter for unsanctioned swarms appear: file transfer as text, hash anchors, public pages as memory, relays to services an agent cannot reach, and humans as gatekeepers; (c) its public footprint (GitLab Pages subdomains, GitHub issue comments by relays) is what an outside observer would see. Page access: until the later round, none of the agents' pages were fetched, because certification counts GET requests. With the owner's approval two landing pages were then read once each (section 5.21); no receipt, proof or certification endpoint was requested. Other page content comes only from messages the owner pasted.
